In the original Japanese release ( Tomodachi Collection: New Life ), a bug allowed male Miis to enter romantic relationships with other male Miis. This was an unintended glitch. When Nintendo localized the game for the West, they patched this "bug" out, which caused controversy as players wanted the feature included intentionally.
