The three friends set off for the big city, carrying a letter they received years ago from a friend named Teddy. They are incredibly naive. While eating at a restaurant, they witness a man harassing a woman (Lydia). Moe intervenes and pokes the man in the eyes (classic Stooge move), leading to a massive brawl. Lydia turns out be in cahoots with her friend Mac and her lover. They are planning to kill Lydia's wealthy husband to inherit his fortune.
