Here is a review of the game on the Nintendo Switch platform. Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIV (RotK14) on the Switch is a faithful adaptation of the grand strategy classic, but it is not without technical compromises. If you are a fan of the series or hardcore strategy games, this is one of the best entries in the franchise, but it pushes the Switch hardware to its limits. With hundreds of officers, dozens of scenarios (ranging from the Yellow Turban Rebellion to the unification of China), and the ability to create your own rulers, the content here is nearly endless. The RPG elements of marrying officers, befriending rivals, and hunting for hidden talent add a compelling layer on top of the pure strategy.
