Following the massive (and controversial) global success of the first film in 2020, 365 Ngày: Ngày Này returns to continue the turbulent love story between Massimo Torricelli and Laura Biel. While the first film was criticized for its problematic themes, it succeeded in being a conversation starter due to its shock value. Unfortunately, the sequel, Ngày Này , strips away much of the tension and replaces it with a soap-opera-level narrative that fails to justify its existence beyond its steamy exterior. The film picks up where the first one left off (ignoring the cliffhanger bullet wound for the most part). Massimo and Laura are finally married. The premise promises a look into their married life, exploring whether a relationship born from kidnapping and coercion can survive the realities of commitment.
