The Krishna Yajur Veda (KYV) is one of the four Vedas and a foundational text of ancient Indian literature. Unlike the Shukla (White) Yajur Veda, which separates the ritual formulas from their explanation, the Krishna (Black) Yajur Veda presents the Mantras (sacred utterances) and Brahmanas (ritual explanations) interwoven with each other.
