Based on Maloy Krishna Dhar’s novel Mission to Pakistan , this series is not about the body count a spy can rack up, but rather about the heavy psychological toll of living a lie. Set in the years leading up to the 1965 India-Pakistan war, the story follows Harfan (played brilliantly by Zaan Khan), a street-smart young man from Old Delhi. Recruited by Indian intelligence (then IB) after a personal tragedy, he is groomed, trained, and eventually sent across the border into Pakistan on a high-stakes mission: to infiltrate the enemy ranks and uncover the details of Operation Gibraltar. The Narrative Arc (Episodes 1-Finale) The series starts at a deliberate pace. It takes its time establishing Harfan’s transformation from a carefree youth to a hardened operative.
