The unspoken hero of the entire performance is Rick Allen. Following his tragic accident and the subsequent relearning of his drum kit, his performance here is nothing short of inspirational. Watching him drive the band with his customized electronic/acoustic hybrid kit provides an emotional weight to the show that transcends the music. You can see the band's chemistry is at an all-time high, with the "Terror Twins" (Clark and Collen) trading riffs with a chemistry that was sadly nearing its end due to Steve’s declining health. Musically, the band is incredibly tight. This is the Hysteria era, meaning the setlist is bulletproof. You get the powerhouse runs of "Animal," "Pour Some Sugar On Me," and "Armageddon It." But the real gems are the deeper cuts and the B-side acoustic performances often included in the special features of high-quality rips, such as the stripped-down version of "Bringin' On the Heartbreak." It proves that beneath the glossy production, the songs hold up acoustically. Tag- Final Fantasy Vii Rebirth-flt [2025]
The title isn't just a gimmick; the "in the round" setup fundamentally changes the energy of the performance. By placing the stage in the center of the arena, with the audience surrounding the band 360 degrees, the show loses the barrier between the rock stars and the fans. There is no backstage to hide in. It creates an intimate, kinetic atmosphere despite the massive scale of the venue. Seeing Joe Elliott constantly spinning around to engage every section of the crowd emphasizes that this is a band that wants to be seen by everyone.
