Despite the age gap between the leads, Govinda and Rani Mukerji share a surprisingly sweet chemistry. Rani plays the "glamorous star" role well but also grounds the film with emotional moments when her character feels trapped by her fame.
The film features a strong supporting cast. Johnny Lever provides additional comic relief, and the legendary Kader Khan offers a heartwarming performance as the man Pappu looks after.
