The film is set in Barrow, Alaska, a town that experiences a full month of polar night (30 days without sunlight) every winter. As the town prepares for the long night, a group of strangers arrives by boat. It is soon revealed that they are vampires, intent on slaughtering the isolated town with no sunlight to stop them.
